"For the first time in the history of ICOM, a Web site has been created in direct response to an emergency situation. In the wake of the devastation wrought by the Tsunami in Asia and the Indian Ocean, we will be bringing you constantly updated information on our on-site activities, together with information collated from visitors to the site. We are still working on improvements to the Web site but as communications are restored and collaborative structures become operational it will become an invaluable tool in dealing not only with the current disaster but also with situations of similar magnitude in the future.
